Dwight Au attended the 2012 OIA Football Championships at Aloha Stadium on Friday, November 2, 2012 with the hopes of watching two exciting games. In addition to seeing high school football at its best, Au also won a 2012 Nissan Juke S AWD from the Tony Group Autoplex and OC16 during halftime of the Red Division game.

Au, from Mililani, had no idea that he was to go home with a new vehicle when he entered through the turnstile of the stadium.  “I had no idea I would be among the first 1000 through the gates. I knew about the contest, but my goal as I traveled to the stadium was to get a good seat. I knew that the games would be filled with action and I wanted to cheer on the kids from my neighborhood.”

Out of the 1000 spectators who received a ticket, twenty were selected to participate for the opportunity to win the Nissan Juke S AWD.

Happily agreeing to be part of the halftime entertainment contest, Au patiently waited for his opportunity to select from an assortment of briefcases which was held by area school cheerleaders.  Five contestants selected briefcases before Au with no luck.

Once Au stepped toward the microphone being held by the contest’s MC Tiny Tadani, he said he had a good feeling.

“I figure I had a good chance at winning and decided that number 11 would be a good choice to select.” Soon after the briefcase was open the look of excitement appeared on the face of Au.

After winning Au flashed a broad smile in saying “this is one of the best nights of my life. I will drive this with pride.”
